That would be good. Because I'd really prefer to have it around the beginning of Sept. instead fo August. I have early/mid Sept. plans for it. :-)

Ok, I'm going to try to trace her and paint her today, if everyone is okay with the VahiniIti image posted above? I'm thinking of using real cloth pareo, fabric from here on Moorea, for her skirt (glued to the posterboard) -- what do you think?

At the end of her travels, she should probably find a home with Yves, along with her photo book! Patti and I both have Dotphoto accounts and could keep a record of her photos as she travels, if people email us their images, sharing the link for everyone to see, and at the end, we can add titles and Tahitian music and create an online "show."

I'll be traveling back through Honolulu on August 24, so could mail it from there (after getting RodJune and his family in a photo with her).

It's been fun spending part of the morning playing with a paper doll!! Okay, take a peek and tell me what you think?

I think we should ask Poehere for name suggestions, because she knows more Tahitian than just about anyone here on the forum!

She's adorable. Can you make a little tiare flower necklace for her? I think you can dry flowers in a microwave. If possible, I would like to have her in January or February when the water is hard here, and we can walk on it to someone's over water bungalow (ice fishing house)

Barbi she is just beautiful! How about "Vaitere", combination of water and travelling...

Barbi, she is "Purotu Roa"! I wish I was with you in Moorea, to
help you with this project. I just wish I was in Moorea, period!!!

I have a suggestion for her name, "Ao Tere" or is it, "Tere Ao"?
The meaning is world travel, I don't know how to say, traveller in Tahitian. I'm sure someone will help with the transalation, Pohere?? Although, Vaitere, has a nice meaning, too!

I was thinking, maybe you could add a black pearl, finger or toe ring. This project, is going to keep you very busy with all our suggestions. Maururu roa, for taking on this assignment!

I think she deserves a pearl necklace ROFLMAO

WHat does the lady represent/signify to you all? That will make it easier to pick a name that goes with the thoughts...

Tereva : long travels
Heremoana: oceans of love (she'll prob go far, crossing oceans, collecting miles on ATN hahaha)
Aniataitera: woman asking for clouds from far away skies... I like that one but hmmmm clouds - rain/tears
