Anyone have an update on the LM construction? I am heading there in mid April and am just wondering how much we will notice it.

You will definitely notice the construction. The work on the pool is starting (they are still digging so it will still be going on during April almost certainly). The work on the Beach Bungalows is also going strong, although there are barricades up so its not such an eyesore. But you can hear the noises. That said, they were very generous and attempted to try to make everything better. They were a class act as far as I'm concerned and the employees there were very helpful and understanding, especially Moana.
I believe they are giving everybody a full 750ml bottle of champaigne as well as a nice beach bag, pareo, and LM hat. I'm not sure if this is to proactively stave off contruction complaints or not. I think they are also upgrading people out of the Beach/Classic Bungalows and into OWBs. So if you've got a cheapie Beach/Classic Bungalow, you should be able to score a nice upgrade into OWB cuz of the construction. And once you are on the deck of your OWB, you really don't notice the construction too much at all since it's far enough away. Just my 2 cents............

Thank you very much for the update. How many days did you stay at the LeMeridien? Any tips for a traveler that is leaving to stay there in two weeks?

I just returned from the LeMeridien and had a great time. As of April 22nd they are still working on the new pool and beach bungalows. I would say that they still have at least anther month to month and a half worth of work on the pool to go as they pooring the concrete for the pool during our stay and were just starting to pour the walls for the pool. The beach bungalows were still in the framing stages as well. All in all it was not too bad having the construction go on while we were there just some hammer noises and the occasional backhoe engine noise off in the distance. We rented a boat during our stay and went to some of the other resorts and noticed hammer noises at most of them, even and the St regis and Four seasons. The over water bungalows seem to need constant maintenance.

Hi Gary & Cath - We're going to Bora Bora in September and would appreciate a copy of LM shuttle schedule. We're trying to learn everything we may need to know before we go so we can just enjoy the trip. Any hints that can be given will also be appreciated. Thanks -
