Is there a shop near Radisson Papeete?

Does anyone know if there is a shop within walking distance from the Radisson (ie about 10-15 minutes walk) where we can buy snacks, rum, sunscreen etc etc

There is a Hyper U and Carrefour in Arue you'll find all you need but take a taxi, too hot to walk

Thanks for your reply - how far is Arue from Radisson - I don't mind the heat but only if its no more than 15 mins walk. I was actually going for walks in BB for about 30 mins (just about melted!!!)

Carrefour is about 2 km... (in Arue, same district as the hotel) but it is great shopping for everything you need, so I would get a cab

You really don't want to walk it, especially on the way back with your groceries! Take a cab, and ask them to either wait or come back for you afterwards.

Take the bus and ask the driver to drop you near Carrefour.

We did this walk, towards Arue a couple of years back. It was long and hot, but we made it, and it really was a bit short of Arue I think.
But someone either here on another forum mentioned a store that was closer in the other direction, I thought. I heard it was fairly close, turning left at the hotel gate, not right. Can anyone confirm that?

Take the bus to Carrefour. Just tell the driver you want to stop near there.

Thanks. Sorry my french is not so good--is Carrefour the name of a store chain? Are you saying to take le truck from the hotel, and just ask the driver to let us off near a store?
Still interested to hear if there's one east of the Radisson, walking distance, i.e., turning left as you exit the hotel.
