Bike Rental Question

We would like to rent bikes for 4-6 hours while visiting on Moorea. Where can we do this? Approximate cost? Is riding a bike possible? We rented bikes on Bora Bora and loved it. Thanks.

Moorea Fun Bike, phone 70-96-95, will deliver a bike to your hote2l anywhere between Haapiti and Pao Pao.
Rent-a-Bike at Le Petit Village, phone 71-11-09, will also pick you up by prearrangment. Bikes are about 1000 CPF (about $12-13)for 4 hours, 1500-2000 CPF for 24 hours.
Lots of people ride bikes on Moorea, but there is no "shoulder" to the road, only grass or crushed coral, and you must be very careful of cars and dogs!

Be advised, this will not be a particularly sleek road or mountain bike. Think more of a heavy english cruiser, with maybe a bit of rust thrown in for good measure.

Thanks to all of you for your invaluable information. It has been 15yrs since we have been to FP. Anyone know about Rohotu fare lodge in Bora Bora? After bareboating thought we would give it a try looks lush and a more tahitian experience. Thanks
