Are there any dinner shows in Moorea that you recommend? We will be there Sunday - Tuesday later this month. Also anything that is a must do or see? Thanks

Tiki Village Theatre puts on a good dance show - it's worth seeing.

Tiki village, has big shows in a sort of a polynesian village setting, buffet dinner is quite reasonable
www.tikivillage.pf I am not sure though if they're open on sundays. Sheraton has one saturday night but in my view the buffet dinner is outrageously expensive quality/price wise, Intercontinental has "soirée merveilleuse" on sat as well

I agree with Poehere about the Sheraton buffet. Buffet was nothing special and overpriced. The show was nowhere near as impressive as Tiki Village.

Thanks so much. We are staying at the Sheraton but will not even be there for Saturday night. I will be making reservations for the Tiki Village Tuesday night. It will be a nice end to our time on Moorea.

are these dinner shows pretty much like the luau dance shows you'd see in Hawaii?

I've been to 2 in Hawaii so may not want to do it again if it's pretty much similar stuff.

Thanks for the info in advance!

Hi Avitas,

It depends on which luaus you've seen. The Tahitian shows are more fast-paced and have a different style of dancing, chanting and singing. Also, there is some excellent fire dancing at Tiki Village.

We did the Tiki & the Sheraton.
Skip the Sheraton.
We only did the Tiki show as reviews on this site stated the food was not good.

Andy just reported on the Intercontinental seafood buffet and dance show as not so good. The Tiki Village show consistently receives great reviews, but most people do not like the dinner. It's a good idea to eat elsewhere and then head over for just the show.

The Club Bali Hai on Cook's Bay has a FREE dance show every Wednesday and you can make reservations for their barbecue dinner after the show. There is a different group every other week and both are quite good. Don't remember how much the dinner is, but you can call and find out--it is the only dinner served at the Blue Pineapple...but that IS a great place for breakfast or lunch and you will see many of the locals like it there too.
