We (partner and I) are considering doing the Leeward Island cruise. Can anyone who has done a cruise with Archipels or a similar cruise talk about their experience sharing the boat with other folks? Did you get along? We are a gay couple and that might be a problem for some folks. I leaning towards doing it, but I just have this nagging hesitation...Thanks.

TahitiTravel offers excellent deals for cruising the magnificent lagoons of French Polynesia.
We highly recommend the Bora Bora Cruises for luxurious intimacy (actually a v.good value compared to the cost of a stay at a 5 star resort) or the Regent Seven Seas Cruises Paul Gaugin for a deluxe but more traditional cruise experience.
Check our Cruises page for more information

I don't think you would have a problem. We did the Rangiroa Cruise a few year back and enjoyed it. One couple from South America and another couple from Itay. Sign language helped but we had a great time. If you want to put your nagging hesitation email Francois Profit at fprofit@mail.pf the General Manager and ask him directly.

I would think the passengers would be a real mix of people from around the world so being gay wouldn't be a big deal (it seems to be a much bigger deal inside the US than it is elsewhere).

Thanks oldwife. I agree. I just heard from someone I ran across on the fodors forum, and what she wrote has convinced me to go for it.

Hamara Francois Profit no longer owns Archipels. He sold it a few months back and went back to Normandie - Fracois Guais is still there
