I'll be going to Bora Bora in a couple of months with my fiance. I was wondering if its common for people to sunbathe nude on their sundeck in their overwater bungalow or swim in the nude around their overwater bungalow. Thanks

Topless is totally okay and very common. Bottomless...let's say you should be very discreet about it if you do that.

Topless is common and no one really gives it a second thought. Bottomless might be stretching it.

If on your own OW deck I dont think anyone will see or care. As long as the entire resort doesnt see you from the shore. I have seen a few things from the shore on an OW deck and its really isnt that great.

Skinny-dipping at night from the OWB has been observed! I wouldn't do it during the day. Topless is fine!

There was not much topless sunbathing in Moorea and Bora Bora when we were there recently, which was bit suprising as the majority of tourists appeared to be european. There was some topless bathing in the OWB's at both the hotels we stayed in, but didn't see anything more (although having been married 25 years I was not looking!) Maybe there are some but I did not see any OWBs that offered complete privacy on the decks. As such the likliehood is that you will be visible to your neighbors/ the beach/swimmers/boaters etc

Topless was fine. There is a surprising amount of snorkling and Kayak traffic around the OWB's - so bear that in mind while considering what you want to, er, bare.
