We have a 3 + week trip planned to FP, including a two week cruise on the PG. We would like to have laundry done in Moorea before we board the cruise ship. Does anyone know of a laundry facility on the island where we could have this done besides our hotel (Moorea Pearl)?

There are two "Laveries" on Moorea; one is in Maharepa facing the Bank of Tahiti (near the Pearl) and one is in Haapiti near the Intercontinental. They will wash and dry your clothes for about 750 cfp each for 5 kilos (about 10 pounds). They will also do ironing at 200 cfp an item. Call them for a pickup at 70-64-65. (I've never used their services, but I've heard that they are good.)

Thank you so much for your reply. I have searched the internet and in Jan Prince's book and did not find the answer. This board has been invaluable in planning this trip to Tahiti.

Pam, Pick up a "Moorea Guide" at the airport or at your hotel when you arrive -- it's got lots of good local information in it, and that's where I got the phone number for the laundry.
