We stayed in the airport motel last December. Arrived in FP around 11 PM or so. We took a taxi up to the motel. The way is lit, but it is quite a hike uphill and we could not ditch our luggage because the luggage place was closed. You also have to lug your luggage up flights of stairs-no elevator although I think that you can pay to keep it at the desk. I think as there are four of you, you might wish to take a cab as the price would only be a few bucks each. It was a five minute walk down down down in the AM-not a problem although it did start raining right after we got into the airport. The price has gone up quite a bit since Christmas. I think we paid close to a hundred, but can't remember exactly. We were going to do Fare Suisse this time for Christmas, but they were already booked up. I have booked into another place that Poehere recommended and will report back on that one.

I decided on Le Mandarin and they arranged a transfer through Tahiti Nui Travel for about the same as a taxi. I'm hoping we aren't wiped out from the day of travel and can hit the roulottes and maybe a club.
