We weren't there long enough to even try the restaurant. But I had heard it was good. Too bad we didn't get to try it. Yes the air did work very well...as soon as we figured out how to work the dang remote control for it! LOL! The whole feel of the rooms was straight outta 1960-1970. And some of the furnishings look like they were the originals. :-) Clean...but very dated.
Don't know that I'd stay there for a quick overnight again. The price wasn't bad, but it is pretty far away from the airport. We only stayed there because we were going to be taking the ferry to Moorea the next morning, and it's not that far from the ferry docks....a fairly short taxi ride.

If the hotel was on a beach then it must be the Royal Tahitian as the cruise ships have always docked very close to where they dock today. I have sent several emails to freinds in Tahiti asking when the Royal Tahitian was built. I'll post the answers when I get them.

Thanks, Bob
Poehere says the RT was built in 1968, so it would have been some hotel maybe on that same property that predated the RT. One of those hotels catering to the city-dwellers from PPT that wanted a weekend in the country.
