My fiancee and I are planning a trip to Bora Bora and were wondering if anybody knew which bungalow in the Sofitel Motu had the best snorkling, views, or both? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We stayed in 128 and had an amazing view of Bora Bora (when you sat on the deck & looked at BB, you didn't see anyone else's deck). 129 was probably even a bit better. I think the opposite end has the best snorkelling, though (and it's a close swim to Point Noir, which has excellent snorkelling). The snorkelling beside our bungalow was very good, though. We usually walked across the motu (or took a kayak around) to snorkel on the far side in the Coral Gardens.

I've posted numerous on this. The aforementioned 128 and 129 are great if you can get them. Any of the teen numbers from 113 to 119 have great view of Mt. Otemanu and are closer to Pt. Noir but do lack privacy. I'm not sure how much privacy one really needs in FP unless you plan to have fun on your OWB deck or something.:)

Thank you for all your help. I will definitely request these when I book the trip.

I don't have the resort map handy right now, but we always request one of two OWBs towards the pointe noire. The very last one isn't ideal, but the two next two it have fantastic views, great snorkeling.
Sometimes the snorkeling tours will moor within view but they don't stay long. We don't do anything on our deck that we wouldn't do in front of our parents, but we do like the feeling of privacy, we love the illusion that we are all alone on the motu! We feel the bungalows on that end are nice.

Hi Matt, you will find a map for Sofitel Motu on the home page of this forum (Tahiti Travel). Just go to hotels and you will see the link for Sofitel Motu (along with all the other hotels in BB). Hope this helps.
