And they sell cheap stuff like cup a noodles.

But honestly...there's lots better cheap stuff there. Like the wonderful loaves of bread and some cheese...makes a great lunch!

You can easily walk to the grocery store. I timed myself it was 20 min walk total from my door to carmelines(1 minute from Grocery Store)and back. as far as fish by the bungalows it looked like there was fish all around or if you want you could swim off the end of the dock where ther are alot of fish. This is where everyone watches the sunsets also( bring a bottle of wine to, about 1500 cpf at market) the weather was good also only one nite it rained for a half hour.

avitas~ they do sell Nutella there, and it's not outrageously expensive....so you really don't need to bring a jar.

But...here's a better option...if you only need some, not a lot. At Cost Plus/World Market (I assume you have those down in SD) they have little trial size/snack size Nutella packs. They have just enough for a slice or two of bread/toast/whatever. I brought some with me last time we went to Tahiti and it was just perfect. They also have hummus packed in trial size packs. It makes for great little snacky treats....and they don't take up a lot of space or weight in your luggage.

avitas...another thing that works really well if you will be making walks to and from the grocery store...bring one (or two) of those re-usable material grocery bags from your local grocery or drug store. They take up very little room in your luggage and make carrying groceries very easy. Most of the stores in FP either do not have grocery bags, or charge for them. So a nice sturdy bag for the walk is a must.

And make sure you bring some ziploc bags to store food in after it's open. Those little ants can find their way into anything not sealed up.

We always use backpacks as our carry-on luggage when we fly. Then, when you get to your destination (wherever it is), you're all set for grocery shopping, souvenir shopping, etc. The ones that hold a bottle of water on the side are perfect for FP!
