I like the red slushy at Faa airport. Best slushy this side of the equator.

Just put those meet & greet plans on hold, Joe. ATN have canned the Tuesday flight from Sydney to Papeete yesterday. Fingers crossed, it will return after the "high season". At this stage, we are waiting for a response from our TA, as we may have to completely rework our entire itinerary. It will be interesting to see what happens, as we have fully paid for the return international flights! I'll let you know.

Wow, you should really check with your TA, ATN published here in January already that they would stop the direct liason with Sydney due to their disastrous financial situation... Apparantly in code share with Quantas the liason continues via Auckland...

Yeah, P. We already had to go via Auckland, but they have also canned the Tuesday flights from Auckland as well, which makes a complete mess of our inter-island schedule.
Our ATN flight had an ATN number from Sydney, but the itinerary stated "flight operated by Qantas" (for the Sydney to Auckland leg).
So yes, we get our frequent flyer points with ATN, even though we are on a Qantas plane, due to their code share agreement.
We are waiting for a response to see how we are going to get "moved" dates, as our itinerary was a nightmare for our TA, given the sequence with which are travelling (Tuamotus before Society's). Fingers crossed that the flight schedule will return by November, or another nightmare of planning looms.

G&C, good luck. ATN has already changed our flights once. But it worked out for the better. We don't have to spend a night in PPT. We jump on a flight to Moorea the evening we land. Should be at Les Tips by 9:30 PM.

G&C, how are your plans coming? Are we still on for a meet?

Hey Joe, still have not heard what day we are flying out but it does not look promising for our lunch plans. Our TA has advised that we are probably departing Sydney on Wed 25 Nov - which means 1 night Papeete and then straight out to the Tuamotus the next day!!

Oh well, that's too bad for our meeting, but good that you go right out. Unless you really wanted to spend a day in Papeete.

Hey Joe, actually yeah, we did want to spend a day in Tahiti but I guess that's not going to happen now - we will probably spend an extra day at the end.

Well, they have changed our return flight also. We now leave PPT at 11:30 PM instead of 10 PM. They had us on the 11:55 PM but that put me into LAX too late to connect. I called and ATN changed it right then and there. At least their customer service is still helpful.
