My girlfriend and myself spent several weeks staying in Te Nunoa’s amazing garden bungalow in July this year. Being my third trip to Moorea I have spent extensive time in some of Mooreas larger resorts including the Intercontinental and the Sheraton. The bungalow and its surroundings offers a very unique mix of luxury, romance and a more traditional Polynesian experience which I have not come across at the larger resorts.

The Bungalow is surrounded by an amazing private garden, which is great to laze about in the sun and then simply walk across the road to take a dip in more or less your own private beach, watching the rays swim by! All of the expected amenities are there and absolutely perfect, from a very comfortable and beautiful bed to great beach towels, a great and very functional kitchen and even a I pod doc! Keep the bungalow s shutters open during the day and you literally be in a tropical oasis.

Months later we are still discussing how we cant wait to get back over there and dreaming of the next time we can do so! Te Nunoa is certainty an amazing place with amazing people, which we were unable to fault at all, having absolutely a dream getaway.

Be sure to take all of Laurels advice, she certainly know s what she is talking about and is on hand whenever you need guidance whether it be about hiring a car or going on a Lagoon tour. Another must is watching James at work, tattooing traditionally, his work is mind blowing!

Don’t forget to bring your Ipod to make the most of that Ipod dock!

Gee, I hadn't heard of this so I googled it. It's just one bungalow that you rent, right? A private house? Is the internet access free? It's a bit too pricey (we've become very frugal in FP!) and a bit too remote for me, but with the bikes, you can at least get to Le Petit Village in 15 minutes (do the bikes have baskets?).

There is a small magasin (general store) within a 5-minute walk, 1-minute bike ride, so it's not necessary to go to Le Petit Village for most groceries. I have some photos from a visit to Te Nunoa with Laurel and James; send me an email at BarbiJKM@aol.com and I'll send you the link. LOVELY place! It's like having a luxury resort room, but in your very own secluded bungalow and garden.

Hi Barbi - I'm trying to save all these possible lodging sites for future trips. Would you mind emailing me your photos of Te Nunoa? Oh - I'll email you.
