Although BOra-Bora has obviously richer dwellers, and therefore richer customers for my restaurant plan, the presence of a secondary school would sure help me choosing between Moorea and Bora-Bora as Moorea does not seem to have a secondary school and kids have to be sent in a boarding school to Papeete.

Any parents here live in Bora-Bora and know the answer ?

Thank you.

Phil

Poehere lives on Bora Bora but she is on vacation in Europe right now.

For a list of the secondary schools in French Polynesia (called "colleges"), check this link: http://www.education.gov.pf/listing.php?action=recherche

If the main page comes up, look for the section titled: "BIENVENUE DANS NOS COLLEGES EN POLYNESIE FRANCAISE - L'éducation > Collèges de Polynésie Française"

I hope you speak French!

I would question two of your beginning assumptions, first, that Bora has "richer" residents than Moorea does, and second, that Moorea has no high schools. It is true that many residents of Moorea send their kids to high school in Papeete, but Papeete is a lot closer to Moorea than Bora Bora is, and thus it's an affordable commute.

Thx so much for the link Barbi,

I live in Mexico but I am actually French :-) Daughter is 13 and speaks fluently 4 languages, of which a much better English than mine (that's easy !)

Sending my daughter from Moorea to Papeete would force me to have her reside in a boarding school as I understand that although feasable, commuting from Moorea to Papeete closest secondary school is not practical at all due to the intense traffic in Papeete.

Have I missed something ?

You caught me by surprise by questioning the fact that there are richer dwellers in Bora-Bora. That is good to know.

I can wait for Poehere, no probs.

Thx again

PhilGib,

If you are French, you will have a much easier time obtaining a business and finding a residence! Poehere can give you more thorough information about Bora Bora specifically when she returns from her holiday.
