One person's experience is not necessarily going to be your experience at any resort. I've read enough reports on this site to know that everyone is very opinionated about the resort they've stayed at and even those where they haven't stayed at; I'm guilty of that as well. With that said, I still think the Sofitel Motu, while not being in the five star category, has some great snorkeling and probably one of the most killer views of Bora Bora and Mt. Otemanu. Just my humble opinion. I guess I'd stay at the Nui because I just happen to like the south side of BB more than the east side of BB because of the particular view of the main island, snorkeling, and proximity to the village and restaurants along Matira Beach. Hey, you can't go wrong wherever you stay - you're in paradise. :)
