Just browsing through Jan Princes latest book re Bloody Marys. It says they pick up from "certain locations" in BB. Does anyone know if they pick up at LM (either at the hotel or the boat dock on main land)? And do they drop you back after dinner?
Also, what do they serve for lunch - is it only burgers and stuff or can you get lobster, seafood platter etc? Thanks everyone in advance.

They do not pick up from the hotel (which is on a motu). However, when we stayed at LM (about 10 years ago), they picked us up at the boat dock on the main island, and dropped us back up for the LM boat transport back to the hotel. You might have to wait awhile, though -- Bloody Mary's only did their transport when a bunch of people had finished eating and were ready to go, so eat S L O W L Y!

I don't know anything about the lunch menu...

Hi Barbi, thanks for your reply - might have to wait for Poehere to get back and settled to find out about the lunch menu!!

Gary & Cath,

I found this review posted on cruise critic, which might answer your question:

"The can't-miss lunch spot on Bora Bora is Bloody Mary's (689-67-72-86; the restaurant doesn't take reservations for lunch though they are accepted for dinner -- and highly recommended). This is a fun, casual joint with actual sand floors (you can check your shoes at the front!), great water views and numerous claims to celebrity patronage. Freshly caught seafood takes center stage at dinnertime, but lunches are a bit simpler and a lot more affordable with items from cheeseburgers to fish sandwiches. Be sure to check out the funky, open-air restrooms complete with waterfall sinks and phallic toilet flushers. Open for lunch and dinner every day except Sunday."

And this from Frommer's site: "The lunch menu consists of burgers, fish-and-chips, and salads, which are not served at dinner."

Also, you might want to call them and check when you arrive: the free transport might not be available for lunch, only for dinner hours.

Indeed,no free transportation for lunch, no resa necessary either, would you want to go for lunch? very limited choice and the experience is really very different from the dinner one...
Resort/hotel pick up and return is on fixed times and not always convenient

I would just go and buy the t shirts. Food really is over priced and not very good. Also, the stumps are very uncomfortable and most of the staff seem really put out when they serve you. And the "free" transportation is added to your bill.
