enough time between flights?

We are going to Raimiti and the Moorea Pearl this May. We've had a lot of changes to our flight times, and according to the most recent itinerary we received from our travel agent, we only have 45 minutes between our flight from Fakarava to PPT and our flight from PPT to Moorea.
I know the airport is very small, so if the Fakarava flight's on time, I don't anticipate any problems. But what if it is late? Will we just get put on a later flight? What if all the later flights are full? Anyone have any experience in this? I guess I could ask our travel agent to get us a later flight to Moorea, but I just feel bad asking her to do that since we've had so many flight changes already. But please let me know if you think this is what I should do.

if you fly Air Tahiti as well to Moorea they'll book your luggage through from Fakarava. Air Tahiti flights for Moorea are usually a stop on the way to Huahine Raiatea or BB, or are you booked on an Air Moorea flight from PPT?
Air Moorea has hourly flights but cut some at the middle of the day (between noon and 3 pm)

Because it is the PPT to Moorea leg in question...I wouldn't worry. That is the easist to cover if you miss your flight. There are lots of flights and you have the ferry option also.
When we did it last year, the flight from Fakarava was on time and it only took about 5 minutes to get our luggage and 10 minutes to walk over to the Air Moorea terminal. If you'rs is the same, you'll have plenty of time to check in at the Air Moorea counter and to have a beer at the bar!
One thing to be aware of, if you need to get a luggage cart, make sure you have a dollar coin to put in it. They're not free like they are when you arrive internationally.

As the others said, that PPT to Moorea flight runs all day long so as long as you aren't booked for the last flight of the day, you should be fine. A year ago (when tourism wasn't down as much as it is now), we were 2 of only 5 people on that flight. I doubt it's often booked up.
Our Fakarava to PPT flight was also on time and it's superfast to get out of there. Make sure you know where Air Moorea's terminal is the first time you arrive at PPT so you won't be looking for it in the rush back from Fakarava.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that the flight to Moorea is at 5pm. If I miss that flight, are there later flights to Moorea, and is the Ferry still an option? Its on a Wednesday in mid-May. I tried to find flight times, but the Air Moorea schedule doesn't seem to go out that far.

AM has a 6 pm flight, Ferry would not be an option in that case, last one leaving PPT at 5.30 pm and all boats "sleep" in Moorea during the week

When we left Raimiti the flight leaving Fakarava was late and they had an Air Tahiti employee meet us as we stepped off the plane in Tahiti and assisted us in getting our luggage first so we could catch our Air Moorea flight. Don't be afraid to ask for help in making your connection.
