Ok, so this is probably a stupid question (and I swear I'm not high maintenance normally in the food area), but can someone tell me what the drink options are at Raimiti? I am slightly addicted to caffeine (I basically drink one diet coke a day), but I don't drink coffee. Tea (hot or iced) is a decent substitute as long as it has some caffeine in it. Do they offer sodas for purchase there? Is tea an option?
Thanks!

I had hot tea evey morning for breakfast. I'm sure you can have soem of that throughout the day. I imagine they do sell sodas, but not sure what kind. You can email Florian and ask.
And...if you like cold tea...why don't you bring some ice tea mix with you and make some in the water bottle every day.
I brought the 20 oz. empty water bottles I had bought at LAX (after security) for the flight...I saved the bottles and when we got to Raimiti I would pour some of the water out of the big 1.5 liter bottle they gave us into the smaller bottles and added crystal light lemonade. You could easily do that with some ice tea mix...or some other mix with caffeine.

Thanks Patti. That crystal light idea is brilliant! I would not have thought about that.

Carrie~ it worked great. I'm not really a soda person, and I don't drink much alcohol, and sometiems I really crave something other than water....those little tubes of crystal light work great....they take up very little room and weight...not messy at all to use....work great with that smaller size water bottle.

For breakfast we were offered coffee, tea or hot chocolate. I can't remember anything about pop/soda. I don't even remember what I drank with lunch & dinner (my, how quickly the memories fade), but I bought juice most afternoons to mix with my own rum and hubby bought Hinanos. I love Patti's idea about the Crystal Light! I wish I'd thought of it (though we did drink plenty of the free water they gave us since it was hot out).

Even if you don't do the crystal light thing...bringing a couple of the smaller water bottles is not a bad idea. I don't like drinking out of the 1.5 liter bottles. They're just too big for me. So I would would always pour the water into my smaller bottles to drink.
I started doing this a couple years ago on Moorea. When I go to the market I always get the big 3 liter jug, 'cause it's so much cheaper than always buying the small bottles...I just then fill my smaller bottles and keep 'em in the fridge. Works great!

Do I understand that they have juice and beer for sale on-site? What else do they have? I might buy it there instead of in Tahiti and carry it in my luggage.

They have an extensive liquor list. I remember that. Just keep in mind that anything you take will be "room temperature" (and room temperature there is very hot)! I bought rum at the duty-free at LAX (cheaper than buying it in Canada & easier to transport as they wrap it well & hand it to you as you're boarding so it doesn't count as luggage in any way).

The beer is cold. They had some old bottles of booze at the bar, but no one while we were there had a mixed drink. I brought my own bottle of scotch. There was always good French wine at dinner. I know they did have mixers, which would include juices. For our 6 day stay, we racked up about a 38,000 xpf booze bill. And that's after bringing my own bottle. So what you can purchase is expensive.

Basically most of the drinks are in the 700-800xpf range. We don't drink very much...or rather I don't drink very much...Paul usually had 3-4-5 beers a day. I think we ended up with about a $200 bar bill....but the exchange rate was HORRIBLE when we went!
Basically the drinks aren't any more expensive than they are at most of the hotels.
