700-800 xpf really isn't any worse than any big US city, but actually better than most including Minneapolis.

I'm debating whether or not to bring beach towels...do you think it's really needed or can we use the bathroom towels?

They did have some old beach towels there. They weren't in great shape, probably worse now. We brough some really nice extra large, extra thick ones, because my hubby works for a company that makes them. We left them there for future guests to use.
If you have room in your luggage, bring some, if not then use whatever they have or use the bathroom towel.
Or, you might want to buy some new cheapie ones and bing them and leave them there.

We took our own beach towels because we were staying at pensions the whole time we were in FP this last time. It's nice to have a clean, dry (not sandy and wet) towel to dry off after a shower. And you usually do want to shower after swimming in salt water. So doubling up your bath towel as a beach towel doesn't work very well. If you do, though, you could always use a pareo as a substitute for either the beach towel or bath towel instead (it isn't as absorbent, but it will dry quickly).

Hopefully, I`ll be able to use those nice plush towels you left Patti!
The more I thought about it, I think I`m just going to leave them home...They will get dirty in no time and I don`t intend to wash towels on my vacation! The dollar store sells those cheap roll-up beach thingy (made of straw-like material..what the heck are they called anyway?!). That will do.

We took a couple of cheap dollar store beach towels. Left them there also. Don't know that they would still be any good though.

Thanks for the info! Between yours and Patti`s, there should be something half decent there!
