Hello, I notice that information on Raimiti is a kind of "over-flooded" here, and we hardly talk about other pensions in FAV (not that I'm complaining lol). However, I have just found a very nice webpage talking about Tetamanu Village in very detail with 79 high quality images. Here is the link:
http://myoutdooradventure.com/adventures/tetamanu-village-island-of-fakarava
Just click on one of the thumbnails on the left and move the arrow on the large image, then you will see the "next" and "previous" buttons, click on the "next" button to view the next image, so that you don't have to open and close all the thumbnails again and again.
Enjoy!

Indeed, a great place! Tuamotu's have quite a lote of wonderful pensions on the many atolls, I guess it just needs people to visit them and wanting to report after on a travel site / forum...

Poehere, yeah, hope people can make more report on different pensions in French Polynesia, especially those in Tuamotu. I would love to hear more about Havaiki Pearl Guest House and Motu Aito Paradise as well.
By the way, I didn't know there are 2 youtube videos for Tetamanu Village till now. Here you go:

Hello all, I have just returned from the Tahiti trip, I had 2 nights at Hilton Moorea (overwater Bungalow), 5 nights at IC Thalasso Bora Bora (Emerald o/w Bungalow) and 6 nights at Tetamanu Village, Fakarava and 1 night at IC Tahiti.
The house reef at Tetamanu is beautiful! The beauty of the corals and fishes can easily blow away any islands in Maldives (been there 5 times). I will make a detail report with pictures specially on Tetamanu Village very soon. first, here comes the video of snorkeling at Tetamanu Village that I have just uploaded to youtube:

Enjoy!

Fakarava truly is amazing, isn't it? I loved the snorkeling down at the south pass...basically right near where you stayed at Tetamanu Village. Those Napolean Wrass are really huge, aren't they?
I was so spoiled by the snorkeling in Fakarava last year, that when we moved on to Moorea....I didn't even go snorkeling there. I knew it'd be such a let down, I didn't even bother.

Yes, Patti, Fakarava is truly amazing!!! i have just uploaded another video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmYD73tNUl0
In this video, you can see a huge Napolean Wrasse at the beginning and a small one, and couple of 1.5m long blacktips swimming around me. The poles you see in the water is the base/foundation of the overwater restaurant at Tetamanu Village where we had our 3 meals every day. Sorry that the video is a kind of shaky since I was a bit nervous with the blacktips altough they are harmless :-) Enjoy!
Holte, I will try to make a detail report as soon as I can!

Thanks for the videos, Peter! Yes, it's incredible snorkelling at the south pass on Fakarava. I think I'm spoiled for life and won't ever find anything as nice (well, maybe on another Tuamotu, but nowhere else in the world)!
We did 7 drift snorkels there and one time, when I went into the bay with the restaurant, there were so many blacktip sharks that I couldn't count them. I wasn't expecting that so it was a bit shocking at first, but then I realized how amazing it is to swim with so many sharks in nature.
