Oh, wouldn't that be wonderful!!
By the way, any suggestions from former cruisers about excursions, wardrobe, extras, etc. I doubt if we are interested in excursions since we have been to all the islands that are called on and have taken just about every excursion possible in the past many years.
Someone mentioned no a/c.... :( That would be a real bummer in a cabin with windows that don't open. We are just hoping that the ocean isn't too choppy since I get seasick walking on wet grass! And this was MY idea too. Tim is just finishing up some radiation treatment and then has to have another surgery and this seemed like a fairly benign way to spend a wonderful time after our week on Moorea.

TahitiTravel offers excellent deals for cruising the magnificent lagoons of French Polynesia.
We highly recommend the Bora Bora Cruises for luxurious intimacy (actually a v.good value compared to the cost of a stay at a 5 star resort) or the Regent Seven Seas Cruises Paul Gaugin for a deluxe but more traditional cruise experience.
Check our Cruises page for more information

Carol, LOL about seasickness walking on wet grass. I've gotten motion sick on a trampoline and on a horse (and I used to train horses 5-6 days/week so that was a problem at times). Bonine/Bonamine (I can't remember which name's Canadian & which is American) is your answer! This stuff only needs to be taken once/day and works like a charm on boats. And you can drink with it (well, I did, at least, VBG). Costco (and likely other stores) sells it in its generic form (just google it) for a really good price.

I have used Bonine, or meclizine which is the generic form, with moderate success. I also use the wrist bands which help with a 45 minute trip up a winding mountain road. I was told to take the medication the night before so it is in your system before you need it, and it doesn't make you sleepy like Dramamine. We took a Napali Coast, Kaui catamaran tour two years ago and absolutely everyone on the boat was looking pale. My daughter and I were positively green, and the grandkids just went to sleep. I have used the ear patch many years ago but have to check with the doctor about using it now. And we did do a Galapagos boat with only minor irritation,so perhaps I'll make it on the Star Flyer--except the Galapagos excursion wasn't on open water as it will be to go from the Society to the Tuamotu Islands... :(
