Chez Capo - Still open on Moorea?

Hi everyone,
We were in Moorea in 2003 and fell in love with Chez Capo. It's near the old Club Med area. We found his food to be excellent and very reasonably priced compared to the other restaurants. Capo was a fun guy and they even had a singer/guitarist there some nights. I never see any mention of this place on line. Is it still there? Anyone eat there lately that can report on the food quality and prices? We are going back later this year and really hoping Chez Capo is still around.

Chez Capo is closed. If you want to try another great place
go to Painapo Beach PK 33 Haapiti phone 55 07 90

Oh no! I was so looking forward to going there again. I wonder what happened? It must have only been there for a few years, since I know it was fairly new in 2003. Does the family still have their plant/flower nursery? We'll have to check out Painapo Beach. Thanks for the recommendation.

Yes Capo still has his plant nursery in Vaiare.

Capo didn't pay his rent at the Haapiti location, and got booted. He opened a snack/restaurant at the Moorea Airport and was there for several years, but didn't pay his rent again and got booted again. He and his son run a landscaping business now, and do gardening for many of the small hotels on Moorea.
It's a shame! His food was excellent!
