Hi All,
Is there any (real) Paragliding (parapentiste) in Moorea or Tahiti Is. The mountain height and conditions would seem ideal for it. I find lots of links but they seem to refer to parasailing (being towed behind a boat) rather than free flying from a hilltop, but sometimes hard to be sure.
Many thanks for any information.

I have never seen any real paragliding (from a mountain) on Tahiti or Moorea. Indeed, because of the terrain, I think it would be difficult to do.
There is parasailing on Moorea, from the area around the Moorea Intercontinental, as well as kite-surfing near Les Tipnaiers.

There is a parapente club that meets every weekend next to le Meridien on Tahiti island, they glide mostly from the Punaauia / Paea area
You can check out their website (French only) http://www.airevasion-tahiti.com/ there is a contact link, try in English, post back if you have probs communicating
Another club is on Huahine http://flyingtoaster.ovh.org/

Great, many thanks for the tip.
Now I just need to decide whether to use my luggage allowance on a paraglider or dive gear.
