I know I'm late posting but when we went to Raimiti, we were their first guests. I expected someone standing with a sign with "Raimiti" written on it at Fakarava airport. There was no one and the airport was getting a little quiet. I had these thoughts of what if we had gotten the dates wrong about our arrival at Raimiti. After about 15 minutes after everyone else had left, Eric showed up, and with a cigarette in his mouth, asked us if we were the "Junes." What a relief that was: we actually had a place to go to for the next four nights.

It was the same drill in 2007 with Eric. We had met him on Moorea so we knew who he was. The cigarette was still in his mouth in 2007. The most important thing about going to Raimiti is to PEE before you get in the boat.
