We're "planning on planning" a trip to FP with my brother, his wife & 2 kids in June 2010 and Raimiti was a "must", but I was shocked to read about the crowds there! My hubby and I also went when it was still small, and can't imagine 19 guests at once.. Has anyone been there recently, is it that bad?? How many new bungalows do they have now, and did they get hot water on the lagoon side, as rumored?

Speaking of Raimiti, anyone else checked out the new website? I actually like the old one better. The site is more in French now with less english than before. Not as many pictures and I can't find the guest comments area.
Just went back to the site. They must have worked out some kinks since this weekend. All the english stuff is there.

I just went and looked. I think I like this version because it warns off those who want luxury, locked doors (even doors, LOL!), etc. Those of us who went there based on Rod's and other's recommendations knew what we were getting into. It sounds like they've had some guests who experience culture shock going there (and not in a good way) so I think the descriptions are a good idea. They still keep enough mystery about excursions, etc. that add to the fun.
