Not sure if there are any football fans on the forum, but there is a huge match on Wednesday between Barcelona and Manchester United. Is there anywhere on the island that shows these matches? Thanks.

At the Aloe@café (patisserie in Vaitape) the Sofitel has tv's in the main bar as well which they turn on for big sporting events

Great, thank you. Do you know if Aloe provides free transfer? Being a cafe, I figure they don't.
And the Sofitel, is that the one in Vaitape?

No, no free transfer, Aloe@café is a pâtisserie/snack/internet café in the little shopping centre across from the church in Vaitape, Sofitel is the one on Matira beach, no transfer either but it is easy to hitchhike (depending where you are located??)

We're at the Meridien, so it's a 6000 XPF (appx $75 USD) cab ride back and forth to Vaitape from the Meridien dock. Very expensive.

BTW you can also watch the match in the "salon" (public tv room) just ask reception to put it on the TNTV channel

Welcome! BTW if you're in to art, Mélanie Dupré, a "local artist" who lives in Huahine but was born in the USA is exposing works and giving workshops at Le Meridien next week, percentage of the revenues will go to the turtle sanctuary

I have many of Melanie's prints and lithos. I love love her paintings, but I need to save up my money for my trips to FP, not that her paintings are that expensive. If you see Melanie, say "hi" to her from me.
