We had 4 not-so-good encounters at Carmeline's in June and November 2008 (I KNOW....what is wrong with us that we kept going back?!).
Maybe things have changed??? Would be good if they did because we were really disappointed with them as they were one of our "go to" places in Moorea for a sure thing.

Sorry to hear that vaitape. It was back in 2004 or 2005 when we were there. We usually had crepes, pretty simple breakfast fare. They were very reasonably priced. Hopefully they've gottten back on track. Mostly we loved the atmosphere.

Hey welcome back Vai - I hope your trip was good.

I was at Carameline's in April 2007 and Sept 2008 and didn't have a problem so I guess either we were lucky or you were unlucky - not sure which.

I was there most recently in May of '08 and had no issues with the food....had crepes for lunch. The service was a bit slow, and not overly friendly, but I've come to expect that everywhere in FP.

Just curious, when we were in Moorea in 2001, we loved Alfredo's. I don't see anyone talking about it anymore, has it gone down hill in the last couple of years?

The reviews of Alfredo's the last several years are really hit and miss. Seems like more miss than hit. I've never tried it, because if so many negative reviews.

Such a shame, we had the best tuna dish there with a dijon sauce that I have tried ever since to recreate with no luck. Guess I'll just have to plan a trip back to taste it again!

I was at Alfredo's in 2007 and the food was decent. It is typical Italian, nothing especially fancy and a bit pricey, but the food is tasty and it makes a good alternative for anyone tired of French or Tahitian food. The atmosphere is pleasant, service is good, and the owner is exceptionally friendly. It is a more jovial place to go for dinner than many of the more quiet places. I would recommend it as a good option for a change of pace.

Don't forget to buy Tahiti Drink in the talk milk carton. Serve chilled on ice. Bring an insulated drink cup with you to keep your drinks icy cold.

It's been a few years since we've been to Alfredo's, but we thought it was just OK Italian food.
