Interested in a reply from anyone who has recently gone Horse back Riding on Moorea or Bora Bora. Did the experience meet expectations? Can you describe WHERE you went on the island, it appears it is mostly in the interior? Were you near the water at all or did you go into the water? I think my fiance has visions of taking the horse into the water like they do in Jamaica...do I need to remind her that we are not going to Jamaica???

I would ride in Moorea. They ride in the interior. Our grand-daughter and several guests of Fare Hamara have all enjoyed the outing.

No more ranch in BB, there used to be one on Raiatea but it closed, so it would have to be Moorea (very beautiful interior) or Ua Huka (Marquesas islands) or Rurutu (Australes, see pic)

Yes, do tell your fiance your not going to Jamaica, although in Rurutu they grow coffee as well and almost as good as Blue Mountain...

If it hasn't changed, its a nose-to-tail walk on a narrow path on the interior, up, then down, arriving for a short canter on the beach and a splash in the water, then back to the starting point.

If you plan on doing it, WEAR LONG PANTS. Saddle sores and salt water don't mix well

Ranch Reva Reva closed several years ago. The cost of importing food made it too expensive.
