My girlfriend and I are looking for accommodation in Papeete from 28th December 2009 to 2nd January 2010.
We figured it might be nice to have a little apartment, as we're staying in hotels elsewhere and this might work out more affordable.
Can anyone recommend an individual that rents such a place out?
Also looking for a cheap hotel for the night of 20th December, close to the ferry port, we're leaving for Huahine on the morning of 21st.
Many thanks,
Jamie Kennerley

Most rentals are on a yearly basis and going through an agency, they'll charge you with a bond and commission (same amount as first rental period) etc, but you can allways try... the website:
http://www.tahiti-location.com/search_annonce_accueil.php?q=Pro&PHPSESSID=8f9f7970d1aaa4c4e7ec10655ea7eed8
you'll see studio's on a weekly basis in Papeete for around 50.000 cfp (french language only)
The new Manava Suite hotel in Punaauia rents out studios but it is way out of town
Are you going by boat to Huahine? there's couple of pensions B&B downtown Papeete near the ferry, Ahitea lodge www.ahitea-lodge.com and Pension Puea www.pensionpuea.com
