Tattoo on Bora ??

We are only in port on a cruise ship for a day on Sunday, Dec. 20th, on our way to Ft Lauderdale from Papeete. I have had multiple by Giles Lovisa near the Moorea Pearl and we are staying at the Pearl pre-cruise for 3 nights, but would prefer to wait until the afternoon just before the Pacific Princess leaves BB for Easter Island, since I'll be just on the ship and won't be diving, snorkeling for a while.

On BB everyone wants Marama tatoo, but he won't go anywhere whatever you pay, so you'd have to go to him (Matira) and would have to schedule way in advance!!

Herenui was incredible. He did both my calf work and my wifes ankle. He was absolutely awesome.

Hey Mooreamike and welcome to the forum. What type of tattoo are you after? Marama's work is awesome (most of the locals are tattooed by him). His work is very diverse. I've seen portrait tattoos that are on par - if not better than Kat Von D's, and he also won Tattoonesia in 2007, so obviously he is an artist in demand, hence Poehere's comment about having to go to him at Matira.
All of my work was done by Fati and is all of Marquesan design, but he is no longer there, so the next trip (December this year) I'll be getting more work from Marama's new Marquesan resident artist, Jerry. I am getting "the story continued".

How do I contact Herenui?
Where is Marama? I think he is located on a motu and not by the cruise ship pier in Vaitape. Right??
I am keeping the story of my dives in Marquesan design on my back. Giles Lovisa on Moorea has already done manta, turtle, hammerhead, and dolphin. Would like to add (admittedly not traditional Marquesan) mola mola or another creature I have dove with. Unfortunately I have not dove with either whales or whale sharks, so I cannot add them to my "dive log".

Just saw a comment on Marama being near Matira. Is that correct? Is he at or near the Intercontinental or another resort?? As long as he is on the main island I can get there, just tough to get to a motu and ensure getting back before the ship departs.

He's right near the Le Moana Beachcomber at Matira, main island so you'd just need to get a taxi to go over, scheduling is important though
