Aremiti 3 Papeete to Huahine?

Can anyone confirm if the Aremiti 3 is still running from Papeete to Huahine?
We were planning to take it on Monday 21st December (thinking ahead!), leaving Papeete at 8am, arriving at Huahine 11:30am, as listed on this page: http://www.tahiti.com/english-version/about-tahiti/gen-resources/boat%20transportation.html
I can't find any other info about it on the web though. A little concerned as we've booked our hotel with that in mind.

As far as I know that trip does not exist anymore. Hasn't for a few years. I think that link you posted is several years outdated. :-(
You better get searching for another mode of transportation.

Hi Jamie, no that doesn't exist anymore... only ship (taking passengers) is Hawaiki Nui leaving Papeete around 5 pm arriving Huahine around 10 pm... better to fly!

And make sure you have reservations with Air Tahiti (not Air Tahiti Nui) as that is a very very busy time. Where did you decide to stay in Huahine?

We're looking at the Air Tahiti Bora Bora flight pass in the end now, which isn't too expensive. It removes the ferry element of the trip, which is probably a bit of a shame, but we've started to book a few things now so need to try to keep to our schedule.
For Huahine - I tried at the Motu Mahare but it was booked out. I spoke to Madame Tara in the end and we're booked in there. So really looking forward to it.

Please be sure and report back with a trip report. We might see you on the beach at Chez Tara. If all goes according to plan, we will be in Huahine then as well, staying at Villas Bougainville, however.
