The Le Meridien Bora Bora is a great hotel. The Premium OW's are the only ones with AC, so you will pay for that luxury. It is a very beautiful place and the view of Bora Bora are great. They have a man made lagoon with sea turtles and all kinds of fish. The natural lagoon is just sand and you will see some rays and a few fish. The beach is very nice. One suggestion is to lower your budget and get an AC beach bungalow. Do the OW in Moorea. The Beach Bungalow are great at the Le Meridien. The Staff is OK not the best not the worst. The "cabana" guys are really good and very helpful. The food for breakfast is good and the outdoor lunch and sometimes dinner on the beach is good and cheap. The main restaurant is expensive and fair. The one problem with the Le Meridien is that its far away from most things. You need to take the shuttle to the main island and usually a shuttle or taxi to restaurants or shops. It is a great "resort" getaway place.

We stayed in a non-premium OWB in September. No A/C and didn't need it. I thought that the LM planned on doing A/C in the premium OWB but hasn't yet. Since I didn't stay in one, I don't know.

We enjoyed our stay, liked the room and the HUGE glass floor - although there is not a lot to look at as this area is mostly sand and not much swims by. Did see a bit of sealife though. The staff turned down our bed each night and left us the weather report for the next day. The balcony was smaller than ones we saw at other resorts, but had two lounge chairs, a table, and a stairway to the water with a shower to rinse yourself. The room had a fridge/mini-bar and a pot to heat water for tea, instant coffee, etc. Bathroom had two sinks, a shower and separate tub. Everything was teakwood. Small walk-in closet with a safe. Bed wasn't the most comfortable.

The staff was very friendly to us and we don't speak a stitch of French. Only ate in the main restaurant once for dinner and once for b-fast and was fine. Really enjoyed the smaller outdoor restaurant by the pool for lunch - cheaper and it's in the sand. Enjoyed snorkeling in the man-made lagoon w/sea turtles. It's also an easy walk to the ocean to watch the waves.

Loved the remoteness and the views. There is a market a few hundred feet up the road from the boat dock on the main island and the restaurants have shuttles that pick you up, so that's not an issue.

Thumbs up.

Just returned from LeMeridien last week. We had room 334. Which was the farthest OWB out on the left hand side (if you've seen the pictures)...

Anyway, we requested "a view of the mountain" and they upgraded us to this premium OW for the same price. Our room did not have AC, but we didn't need it. Opening the doors to the deck created a GREAT breeze the entire night.

I'll try to scan the layout of the leMeridien in soon so that everyone can pick their rooms (I've seen this for other resorts, but never for Meridien)... But, our room was great and it couldn't have been any better.

Thanks to all for your postings about the LM Bora Bora.
Does the LM offer any activities with out having to leave the hotel property? Any live entertainment, or music at night?

Blend, you got any pics posted on the web?
We'd love to see them. We are debating taking another trip this year, and hopefully it will be Tahiti/Bora Bora.

I'm in Gilbert. Check out my pics at the link below.

kletskop - The LM does have a Tahitian show, I believe twice a week, at night. It includes dinner and lasted until about 10:00 pm. We didn't attend it, but heard it just fine sitting on our deck. Otherwise, no nightly entertainment, but the Miki Miki bar is open. Free activities without leaving the resort include volleyball, snorkeling, billards, kayaks, and windsurf boards.

Submarine - I'm in NE Phoenix. I'll e-mail you privately with pictures of Le Meridien.
