The options we were given were garden bungalow, beach bungalow or ocean view and we upgraded to the beach bungalow which looked out over the lagoon (It was definitely worth it because we really enjoyed sitting looking at the view from the deck). I'm not sure with the choices you've been given which is which. There is a solar lighted path across to the other side of the motu where the ocean view bungalows were which took about 2 min to walk across - the motu is pretty narrow at this point and widens at each end.

Thanks for clarifying this... you are right... the options I was offered were OCEAN view vs. Beachfront. SO the ocean view must face toward the ocean while the beachfront face the main island and have the better views.
I REALLY want to stay here but contacting them has proven very difficult... I finally faxed them my CC info and asked that they at least notify me by e-mail if they even have vacancies on the night I want, but haven't heard a word... here's hoping...

Have you tried: borabora@mail.pf? I'm not sure it's an actve email address for the resort but it's on the refrigerator magnet they gave us when we left. Also, I received a quick response when I emailed a question to the "contact us" section of the Pearl Resorts Bora Bora web site.
