Can anyone advise a company or agent that can help us book a Bora Bora flight pass for our FP trip this Christmas?

We've booked one of our hotels with easytahiti.com, and were about to book our Bora Bora pass with them too. We had earmarked all our dates and flights and were more or less all ready to go ahead, but we've been unable to complete the transaction for about 4 weeks! I think they must be busy on bigger bookings and we're a bit small fry.

We'd be happy to book direct with Air Tahiti, but it seems you have to go via an agent. We're in the UK, so there aren't so many Tahiti specialists over here.

We just need to confirm the flights and get this done! Can anyone advise?

Jamie

Jamie, you aren't allowed to mention other travel agents on this site (it's run by a travel agent). I don't think the agency here (this site) will book just a flight for you, but you can try. When we travelled to FP, we were able to book directly with Air Tahiti so I don't know what to suggest.

Jamie, you could always edit your post to remove the mention of another agent (just say you used someone else, but don't mention them) and ask how to book that flight. Someone here might be able to help you (wish I could).

It could be that the winter flights schedule isn't posted yet and so they are waiting until it is.

You can book directly with Air Tahiti yourself on the net. The winter flights aren't usually ready until November, but you can still do it now, I think. I get confused as I have booked so many times, and I can't remember exactly when I have done it. I must warn you though, that there can be complications with Air Tahiti. There is a travel agency listed on the Air Tahiti website that is in California ,and the last time I used them.(last Christmas) I got paper tickets mailed to me. It cost $20 US ,but I don't know how much it would cost to England. A couple years ago I thought my tickets with Air Tahiti were all set. I had done it on the website just like every other year. They had charged me too little and I faxed them a new credit authorization form for the correct amount. When we got to Tahiti, we had NO tickets. It didn't matter that I had brought the correspondence with Air Tahiti with me as there were NO seats. This was at Christmas. Very, very fortunately, the ticket agent was so nice to us, and we were able to get on the next flight 5 minutes before take-off because 2 people had not shown up. Otherwise, there were no seats the entire rest of the day. So we would have had to sit in the airport all day hoping that someone did not show up. If you make any changes with Air Tahiti, they cancel your tickets and don't make the correction. So now I will only go with paper tickets. We never had a problem in the past, but I'm not willing to risk it. Christmas time is very ,very busy. It is very crowded , but there are people with clipboards with your name on it, and they will help you get on your flight. The lines are very confusing when you are waiting and there are family members and friends waiting in line , so it's hard to tell what is going on. If you do this on the Air Tahiti site, would you report back because I have not bought my tickets yet.
