I guess I might be a bit bias, as we love Vince Vaughn and we are going there in less than 7 weeks, so it certainly set the mood for us. You're right, Avamoa, it didn't show much of BB, but it was still very funny. Interesting to see in the credits that ATN and St Regis actually got mentioned, as well as a thank you to the Tahitian people for the warm and friendly hospitality.

For the next FP movie, I think they need some advisers. I would even do it for free if I can be on location.

I wouldn't say "sold out", but they HAVE taken BB for granted a bit - location for the movie only - could have sold BB alot more.

Just saw it, went to see it like everybody else here, attracted by the Bora Bora
location. It was awful. I thought it wasn't possible to make a bad movie
on Bora Bora, but guess what? it was. The location wasn't explored at all,
we were hoping to relive the entire experience, Bora Bora airport etc.
Nothing, nada. Just another stupid movie somebody somewhere got drunk
and decided to greenlight it. Why???
went to party that looked like spring break in Cancun.
The party scene wasn't even shot there, clearly just one bg image
comped in post.
Yeah, you're right, the actors had a lot of fun shooting it, which always
makes the final movie "a funeral"...

I can see where you are all coming from, but it wasn't meant to be a Bora Bora documentary. Vince has got his one liners happening and Jean Reno is good at comedy (loved him in Mission Impossible). But yes, I agree, could have had more of BB in it. But over all, the movie is funny. I'll definitely be buying it on DVD.

My wife and I haven't seen the movie yet but the yoga instructor, played by Carlos Ponce, is our favorite Latin singer. In fact, my wife and I danced our first dance at our Greek wedding to a cut off his first album, the song titled "Quiero Mas." We are sad that he no longer is producing music albums but glad that he's getting acting roles. I'll bet he's a better singer than actor.
