I agree I was upset by not enough shots of Bora Bora. Funny movie though. And yes that party scene was shot in LA but that upset me too. My favorite line was when they made fun of Club Med and Sandals...only those of us priveledged enough to have been to FP can understand how funny that is. I was SO upset they were not drinking Hinano's! BUD in FP!?!?! That killed me. Worth seeing though just for the blue water shots! VV is hilarious!

Our first trip to BB was at Club Med (with one night's stay at Le Meridien for our wedding there and it was chalk and cheese between the 2 resorts, so we got the Club Med joke EXTREMELY well!) But we liked Club Med (although we wouldn't go back even it was still open). Give me Pearl, Thalasso, Le Meridien or 4 Seasons (our next trip after the next trip??). We are going back to Le Meridien because we got married on the beach there 10 years ago. We were only the second Tahitian wedding held there in 1999. I wonder who was the first??

NYchic, do you really think they would pay a few hundred extras a free vacation in Bora Bora? Those people make a couple hundred bucks a day. Look I agree VV was the highlight of this movie, but others were just a disaster...

Hubby and I went to the movie today. It's cold and has been raining for days here, but it still didn't make up for the fact that we thought the movie was terrible and not funny at all. The scenery is stunningly gorgeous, and I am glad for that reason that we saw it on the big screen. On this board there are mixed reviews so go see it for yourself, but don't save it for the DVD unless you have a home theater. Bora Bora is so beautiful and really looks imaginary.

I finally saw it too last weekend. It is a terrible movie and I wish I had waited for the DVD...In my opinion, not event the scenery was worth much. They have not showcased the place at all, not the island, not the culture, not the locals...It might as well has been filmed in Cancun! Not sure why they went all the way there for that movie. I guess the scenery is ok for someone who's never seen the place.
