We bought one of those at the distillerie in July; it was gone in 2 days! (We have large happy hours...) They were also running a special promotion for buying 6 liters at a time for 750 cpf a liter, but you had to bring your own bottles. We brought a 5-liter water bottle and they wouldn't fill it because it wasn't 6 liters!

Patti, I've never seen the 5-liter carton in the stores on Moorea, only the distillerie, but I could be wrong...

Barbi, you should have requested the 5 litre fill, then you could have gone through the last litre "lay-back" style - lay back on the bar and pour - until the final litre is gone! 6 litres - no problem.

We did find it funny that they wouldn't sell us 5 liters in our own bottle, especially when they were charging by the liter. I guess next time they run the promotion we will have to bring four 1.5 liter empty water bottles.

the 5 ltr pack is available in stores, for the US end of the year glass bottles are supposed to be introduced...
