LOL . . . I used to watch both for awhile. It helped out with my Spanish. I also had a high school girlfriend that ended up being a hairdresser for the star of one of the Mexican telenovelas that we could get on TV in the California, so I started by watching that one. Very different from American soaps since the Mexican and South American ones only go on for about 6 months or so rather than for years and years.

G&C~ LOL! Too funny!

A school friend of my daughter is on the soap General Hospital. It's so funny to see her on it. I remember when she was this little 5 year old cutie...and now she's doing all the "stuff" soap opera women do. LOL!

But...for funny programs in another language..Anyone ever watch El Gran Juego de la Oca??? (I think it means the Big Game of the Goose???)It was a game show that use to be on about 20 years ago. It was filmed in Spain or maybe in Argentina...I can't remember. But it was funny as hell. The contestants had to race around the game board stage doing all kinds of silly stunts. The hostesses on the show used to wear this long fancy gowns where the top of them was just body paint. You totally didn't need to know the language to get what was going on and actually not knowing the language made it even funnier! I really miss that show. Now if THAT were on TV in FP, I'd watch it!!!

That's a crack up! How is she "in real life" compared to her character? Is that the funny part that she is so different, or is it scariley funny that she is just the same?
