Never mind, I know enough Latin, Spanish, etc to figure out the schedule from the website.
Think this might make walking from ferry to cruise ship a little difficult in Dec 09, or not far enough along by that time??

Alot of cruises that used to do just the Vanuata, Fiji, New Caledonia stops from Australia are now going to Tahiti and Hawaii as well. And with the Sydney Papeete direct flights coming back, looks like a push for the Aussie market may be coming, especially after the last Pacific leaders forum. Oscar was VERY chummy chummy with our Prime Minister. All good for us! Now if we can have a Tahitian embassy here, I'll apply for a job at the Australian embassy in Papeete.

Once you're in the embassy there, can we work on getting a Sister's City program -Tahiti-Duluth? I'll be more than glad to help, Ambassador.

Holte, your other sister city is Pacific. Unfortunately, not South Pacific... What's up with that, BTW? If you're going to bother with a cultural exchange, the other place away from the gales of November should be warm!!! I do like hammering on the temple bell though. That park is gorgeous!

We have three sister cities-one in Japan which has changed their name, and I forget what it is now. Vaxjo, Sweden and Thunder Bay ,Ontario.
My grandson went to the Japan one about 4 years ago, I think. He loved it. Then the delegation came here. The daughter of the man who got the Peace bell stayed at their house.
They are extremely wealthy and my daughter was in the middle of remodeling their house with some walls tore down to studs. We were worried on how she would like it, but she was just a doll.
My best friend's daughter went to Vaxjo and had a girl from Sweden stay at their house.
And I have been to Thunder Bay.
With all of these qualifications, I think that I could be a sister city person with Tahiti for sure.
