That's neat, holte. Our sister cities are Burlington, Vermont (and we share sports 'games' in the summer), Itabashi, Japan and Apledoorn, Netherlands. I've never been to any of them, though!

Our (Wollongong's) sister city is Kawasaki, Japan. Lucky I ride a Kawasaki, eh? We haven't done much with them since our government sacked our council for corruption and junkets. Go figure?

My son has a KTM-that's Kawasaki, isn't it?
We have several motorcycles in our garage, only one of which belongs to my husband. My hubby rides Honda.
My son doesn't have a garage yet, so we have a collection of ones that he is going to fix one day.
We have his old dirt bikes as well, from when he was a kid, that he is going to fix.
Please, let him get a raise at work so he can build his own garage!!

No, Holte, KTM (I used to have one up to about 4 months ago) is made in Austria and are making great in-roads into racing, both on and off the track. KTM's usually win the Paris-Dakar. My Kawasaki is a ZXR 750 (road bike), and is parked in MY garage. Word of warning - KTM parts are expensive compared to the Japanese bikes.

OMG Old Wife Apeldoorn is kind of boring but lies in a beautiful foresty area near the German border. It has a very famous museum called the Kröller Müller, fabulous collection, if you like art:

The KTM is a bike he's had for quite a few years. I think it needs a tire that isn't sold in that size anymore. But he can't get enough money for what he has into it to sell the bike ,and I'm not sure that he would. He made all kinds of modifications to it.
He's a mechanical engineer now ,and when he was younger he would drive me crazy with taking everything in my house apart and redesigning it. There wasn't an electrical cord in my house that didn't have electrical tape on it because it had been cut for another purpose.
My hubby would have to give me pep talks and say that he was learning great information and it would pay off some day.
Still waiting for him to have his own garage! And buy his parents that condo in Hawaii in appreciation.

Very nice, Poehere! I think I'd love the forested area more than the art (I'm a sucker for trees, but I do love some art, too). Thanks for the url.
Our city has a Teen Tour Band (a marching band) and they go over to Apledoorn frequently and are treated very well over there. The Dutch still remember the Canadians liberating their country at the end of WWII and send 20,000 tulip bulbs to Ottawa (our capital) every year in thanks for harbouring their Princess and her daughters during WWII.
