We will be in Bora Bora (pacific princess) for 1.5 days in Nov 09 and I want to utilize max time to explore the beautiful island.
My plan is 1) 1/2 day tour with Patrick (interetsted in circle island, Shark and ray feed and coral garden snorkle) However he needs 12 people and we are just 4 so tour cost is really high...
Will we get similar tour at the dock at last min? Really want to do shark and ray feed in Bora Bora. Not interested in Motu picnic but we are already doing those in huahine and raiatea.
2) 1 st day afternoon/evening, sunset sail with 'Bora Bora Voile'. Not sure about this..Is sunset sail a must attraction in Bora Bora? or can we visit some beautiful resort close to Cruise dock (walking distance) and take some photos of overwater bungalows and resort grounds (we really love photography)
3) next day morning: 2.5 hrs jet ski with Moana jetski
4) Afternoon: Spend time on Matira beach.saw beautiful pictures..
We are doing ATV and 4X4 on Moorea and Tahiti respectively so not interetsed in similar tour in Bora Bora...These activities are kind of pieces of puzzle which I am trying to put in the place to optimize time and money...
Any help will be appreciated...

Maybe e-mail Patrick and run your ideas by him? His e-mail is
patrick.bora@mail.pf
He is a lovely guy and could give some alternatives.

I am trying to figure out the same things for a Princess cruise in November. When are you going? We're on the 11/18 sailing. We can't seem to get enough people together to do Patrick's tour either. I'm looking into either Damien's tour or Reef Discovery Tour. Both look good and much less expensive. Although, I don't think either one do the shark/ray thing. I've done that in Belize, so it's not a big priority to me. I've also e-mailed Voile about the sunset cruise. Waiting to hear back from them. Also plan to spend time at Matira beach. Sounds like we've made similar plans. Hopefully, we can get some more feedback!

Hi LA_Fadeaway,
Sorry for late reply but was trying to sort out Bora Bora Excursions..We are on 28 th nov sailing...Here is our updated plan: 1) finally we are doing 3/4 th day tour with patrick and we do have 12 people now..He said we will be back before 3.30 pm..just in time for sunset sail 2) For now, I haven't confirmed the sunset sail but going to carry their contact info. The owner told me to confirm in the morning of the day of sailing. My husband thinks we should not confim it right now because if we are too tired by the time we reach bora bora itself then 2 activities in 1 day will be too much..And this time I agree with him..with enthu, I always try to cover everything and end up getting frustrated...Let me know if you hear back from Voile. I got reply within 24 hours both times...If you didn't get, I will try emailing them...:)you can post me a msg on 28 th nov roll call. my login name is same...
3) Bora Bora day 2: morning: 2 hour jetski with Moana Jet ski
4)Afternoon on Matira beach: $5 shuttle to beach..
Initially we also thought about Dameon's tour and I did contact him. but his quotes were pretty high for us even with discount he immediately wanted 30% payment and cancellation was 1 month..We were interested in his photo tour but he doesn't do it for cruise ship....so Patrick sounded better..Let me know if you need more info

The last time we were at Bora Bora, we met up with a cruise to do the Aquasafari. Everyone on the cruise was in SUCH a hurry.
I might be the only one thinking this, but you are treating FP (and particular, Bora Bora) as a stop over.
This is a STUNNING destination.
If this is not your first visit, then you need to take a step back and soak in the view. This is a place like nowhere elese in the world.
Please enjoy your cruise, manasvi10, but also enjoy your relaxation on the most beautiful island in the world.
Maybe try and space out your "tours" to enjoy the island. Patrick can fill you in on what to do to enjoy the WHOLE Bora Bora experience.

Gary and Kath,
I know what you mean... but if you take a closer look at my activities, only Patrick's tour is busy stuff..We are taking sunset cruise to spend some quiet time on lagoon soaking up beauty of bora bora. We do not drink and are not going on this tour just for party. Plus next day we will spend entire afternoon on Matira beach looking at nature's wonders..so still ample time to relax...but places are different. :) Thanks for your suggestions though. I always look forward to new ideas from experts.

Manasvi10, we are on the same cruise as you, and I thoroughly agree with Gary and Cath. We are there for R&R and are doing a back to back to back(30 days, yeah)!!. It is such a visually stunning location, and we missed so much the couple of times there. Just to let you know that the sunset sail, which we booked on one of our segments, can be the opposite of relaxing as such. If it is on the catamaran the Margouillat( do not have the info right at hand) once it departs the lagoon, it can be very rough and wet. If you are prone to sea sickness, it might be good to take something beforehand. But it is a beautiful cruise. The colors are stunning.

Not that it matters, manasvi10 and parislady. You'll go back there again once you catch "the flu". We are not "cruise" people (I've been on 3). The thing we love about FP is the fact that we do nothing - just hang out on the balcony of our room, swim in the lagoon when we get hot - this is what we love about FP, hence our 5th visit in 3 weeks time (not that we're counting down the days or anything). You'll have a great time and you'll start planning your return before you get on the flight back home (we always do).
