Gary and Cath, we already have the Polynesian Flu :-) We are on our forth visit. We do cruise/land and also just land(enjoy it both ways). As we have EU passports, we try to stay at least a month on each visit. Last visit was 3 weeks cruising and 2 weeks land. This time, it's six weeks. Yes we will be back next year after our daughter's wedding. Figure while she is on her honeymoon, we will destress with a "parentmoon". How's that for an excuse!! We just LOVE it there. When I was saying "we missed so much a couple of times there", I was referencing our initial trips when we tried to do too much. I love being out on the deck at our overwater bungalow at the very break of dawn....breathtaking isn't it? We aim to catch up our friend Barbara(know it's not possible). We are at 9 days and counting down....FP here we come!!! You guys are all there at Thanksgiving. How long are you there? What a great gathering that will be!!! Have a ball without us.

Sounds like you have been on some fantastic trips. We can't make the GTG, as we aren't going to Moorea this time, but our original itinerary had us in Tahiti for 2 days, so were going to go over for the day, but then ATN changed the flights from Australia, which meant 1 day at the start and 2 at the end. This trip is Tahiti LE Meridien 1night, 5 Tikehau Pearl, 5 Manihi Pearl, 3 Le Taha'a, 5 Le Meridien BB (where we got married 10 years ago) then 2 Hotel Tiare PPT for some shopping. Three weeks in all. 19 more sleeps. I'm sure we'll all have a great trip.

It's kind of funny in that we have 8 more sleeps, which is exciting but also, I am the stage of " what else do I have to do"? Yikes! Your trip sounds perfect. To bad that you miss the GTG. We miss by 1 day. We will be around those same waters at the same time. I keep checking ATN for any last minute changes, but their schedule seems to all be in place now. Bags are out, and most of the packing done. FP, here we come!!!

Pity it doesn't line up, parislady, but one day it will. I'm sure this won't be the last visit to FP for us all.

Thanks for the info everyone. Masavi10, it sounds like you've got a couple nice days planned in Bora Bora. We're only booking Damien's tour there for the first morning and then will go with the flow after that. Will probably spend day 2 on Matira beach unless something else comes up.
Gary & Cath, I know what you mean by slowing down to take in the sites. At least they give us almost two full days in Bora Bora rather then the 5 to 8 hours of a normal cruise stop.
We've been to Tahiti and Moorea before and are spending one night pre-cruise on Tahiti and 5 nights after on Moorea for some real R&R.
Enjoy your upcoming trips everyone!

Have a great trip, LA FadeAway. How good is it to go back to paradise? We're thinking of the Aranui already for next year (we leave in 10 days for the next trip). We obviously have the FP Flu!! We will be planning this trip on the way back to Australia. Obsessive? ABSOLUTELY!!
