Dearest all ! We are extremely grateful and VERY appreciative for your intentions to meet us at LAX... however in view of recent events, for our return flight back home via lax on Jan 15th we don't think there will be any time left to 'kill' sipping Hinano's or whatever from our 3 hr lay-over... guess we'll be stripped to the bones and after all the foie gras et cetera during our 6 weeks European adventure that won't be a pretty sight hihihi

I'm just glad we got to see you on December 4th! The trip back sounds gruesome; if you can at all manage it, try not to leave security and see if they will put you in a transit room.

Suki, It doesn't sound like Poehere will have time for another visit on her return flight on January 15. I don't have her actual itinerary, but the Air France website shows a flight from Paris arriving at LAX at 7:05 p.m (Flight AF074), and then a flight departing for PPT at 10:05 p.m. (Flight AF 674). That's a 3-hour layover, but it involves going through customs/immigration/baggage check on arrival, and a long security line before departure.
I'd love to fly back to LAX and meet them again too, but given all the difficulty they had at LAX during their transit on Dec. 4th, AND given all the new additional TSA security since Christmas, I doubt that they will have time to exit the transit area and come outside at arrivals at Terminal 2.
But perhaps Poehere will post otherwise here before Thursday, 1/15?

Although the security was not that intrusive when we flew on January 1, 2 and 3, I imagine that they have really upped the ante now.
It takes forever, though. That I can promise you.
