I forgot to ask this in my other question.

I've read mixed reviews regarding bugs (mosquitoes)at the Kia Ora.

Should this be something i worry about (meaning should i bring bug spray)? If so, any suggestions?

We leave mid Dec. and we'll be staying in a beach bungalow.

thanks again.

The resorts spray for mosquitoes so you likely won't see any there. But if you want to do things off-site (especially the 4x4 tour that takes you inland), you should pack some bug spray with DEET. The worst place we found for bugs was the Bora Bora airport (we were sharing our DEET with lots of people). Dusk also seems to be a bad time for mosquitoes (though we still didn't see them at resorts at that time of day).

Also depends on the wind direction . . . if you are on the leeward side of the island on a given evening, the skeeters from the rest of the island can get blown onto your piece of paradise.
Insect repellant - don't leave home without it

It would be far worse to need it and not have it than to bring it and not use it!

thanks guys.

On our other trips to Bora Bora and Moorea we didnt see one bug. We'll take some Deet just in case though.
