Scooter hire in BB

Hi guys,
We'll be in BB between 24 and 27 December on part of our first FP trip!
We're at Sofitel Motu, who will pick us up from airport (at a cost, for sure...) but we're considering rent a scooter for the whole of the stay.
We can obviously get into Vaitape from the airport on the shuttle boat, rent the scooter, then drive round to the Marara. Basically be self-sufficient travel-wise for those 3 days.
Can anyone recommend a place to rent scooters in BB at a reasonable price? Ideally from Vaitape, as mentioned above. I'm concerned that with it being Christmas everything might sell out before we get there.

The usual advise is to rent a tiny car instead of a scooter. Roads and traffic are just too tricky, and as little as some road rash or an exhaust burn can ruin your vacation.

Suki - I'm not a native Oregonian so I'll be watching Duck vs Bucks from some bar in Portland.
WILL be in SoCal mid January with Get a Life marching band. Playing a music convention in Anaheim, then doing the night parade at Mickey's place
