That would be a blast, Patti. My daughter's heading to New Zealand at that exact time (just a few days after you leave) so, unfortunately, I do have to be around to make sure she's packed and ready. She loved southeast Asia so much (she went by herself for a month) that she's heading to NZ for 2 months from late January to the end of March! I thought I'd travelled a bit, but she has me beat by a mile.

Gosh..she sounds like my daughter. She backpacked around SE Asia for 6 months and prior to that she lived in New Zealand for a year. And I won't even get into the rest of her travels! She has me beat by a million miles! LOL!

Woo Hoo! His telephone interview just went pretty well. We'll just have to wait and see where it goes from here. If he ends up getting the job, I will never be so happy to have to cancel a trip to Tahiti! LOL!

Let me know soon if he gets the job or not as I will have to change my name legally to his to use the ticket!
We're leaving on FRIDAY!!!!It's been so cold here, that when it heats up to 20 above tomorrow, we're all going to be wearing shorts. UGH! I don't like that white stuff out there!

Patti, Good luck to Paul! At his final interview (the one where they offer him the job), he should mention that he and his wife already booked nonrefundable tickets for your dates, and see what they say! My daughter was offered a great new job just before the two-weeks Tahiti family vacation we had planned for over a year, and they let her take it (and she also got the job)!

Barbi~ If it comes down to (hopefully) a final interview, he will do exactly that. BUT....he certainly won't make it a mandatory condition. He's no fool! LOL! We can go to Moorea later if we need to. We'd just have to bank the cost of the flights to LA and the Air France flights and use them toward flights at a later date.

Well, Paul finally heard back from that company. He didn't get the job. :-(
Soooo....I guess we're going to Moorea at the end of Jan for 2 weeks. Woo Hoo!
Dang...it looked like such a perfect job for him. Pay was great. Hours were great. Clothes (jeans and a polo) were great. Oh well...back to the drawing board.
