I am planning a 16-day honeymoon in March in FP with Bora Bora and Tahaa as preferred destinations. I am having trouble finding a good travel agent that can find an attractive OW bungalow package offer for me. As I live in Sweden I can not always phone them due to time zone difference, so I have to conduct the correspondence via email. It is however very slow and difficult to get any response.
Does anyone have any good suggestions on travel agents to contact to get good deals for a long stay? Is it better to contact the resort directly? (My impression is that the agent prices tend to be better...)

You are using the website of one of the best travel agent for French Polynesia, so maybe you should start here.
Also, any other agent recommendation will be deleted, so this is the best place to ask for a package but not for a competitor's name..

I agree with Jules, but if you are coming from Europe you have the added problem of also arranging flights etc to and from your own country because US agents usually only offer packages from the US. Also some people prefer speaking directly to a physical person at least in the same time zone as they are. While I respect Jules policy of no other travel agents names you might want to contact the Tahiti Bureau de Tourisme branches in Europe who will send you a whole dossier of info on not only on possible agents but also on restaurants, hotels, cruise ships, diving outfits etc. All a tourist might need to contact anyone directly. Of course, you then have no way of knowing who is good, reputable etc.... part of the fun, in my opinion!!

Hello, we are from Germany and went to French Polynesia last year. We tried to find a travel agent agent who could advise us at home, but they knew little, and we tried one in Tahiti who wasn't very responsive and to whom we couldn't talk. We finally booked with TravelNet and that was easy, plus the phone calls to the US is cheap. We received our documents in Frankfurt and everything was perfect and a better price than in Europe.
