Interesting about the refrigerators. We had a refrigerated mini bar in our room. It was in the closet farthest from the door. We were OWB. All three resorts we stayed at had refrigerated minibars. They do have beers other than Hinano in FP that are imported there. However, I recall they were very expensive. Had to have a Hinano or two!

We didn't use that fridge due to the stories we heard of them charging you for mini bar items mistakingly(????). THe otemanu resturant was pricey, I feel its better to go in town to other restaurants. It isn't worthwile for a OWB unless it is a premium one. The snorkeling is tough due to how shoallow the water is and they send the jet ski's between the 2 rows of OWB, which i din't understand why right there so it interferes with everyone?? Still a very nice play to stay. Make sure yougo to the outlook at the back of the property. If you have the ability to go to a polynesian show, go to one at another place other than BBLR. the buffet was less than expected and the show was shorter than expected. THe dancers were great but not waas expected. It was rainy the night of the show so they moved to the bar, it was cramped and you couldn't view the show well. And everyone in the hotel could go whether you paid or not. We paid and really thought that it was wrong that it wasn't discounted due to the location and that others in the hotel went free. We din't go to the show for the food, anyways.

I will be at the Bora Bora Lagoon Resort the last 2 weeks of April. My question would be as follows: Is there transportation to the island 24/7 ? Or do they run shuttle services at certain hours of the day? Thanks! ;^)

The boat launched early in the morning and ran until midnight. It would leave BBLR on the hour and half past. It would leave the dock at Vaitape at a quarter after and a quarter to. Things close up early so you should not have any problem getting home at night.

We thought the breakfast buffet at BBLR was excellent. They have everything you could possibly imagine. The bread and fruit in BB and Tahiti in general is a hell of a lot better than in the US. The dinner buffet there was so so.
We went to store at Vaitape and loaded up on Hinano. We loved it. Tastes similar to Amstel Light.
Go and enjoy yourself. Some people think because they spend more to travel to BB that the trip should be perfect and have high expectations. Have a good time and don't worry about the minor mishaps.

Thanks for the info on the fridge's in the fare's. Got the beer situation all figured out now. Now, what about COFFEE? Does Tahiti grow their own coffee beans? Do they have Kona from Hawaii? Or do they have a bean they grow all their own? I must have my coffee in the mornings and am wondering if I need to take some with me. In November I went to Jamaica, home of the famous Blue Mountain Coffee. It was difficult getting coffee delivered every morning to our room, and then they had a limit of 2 cups per person. Will I have any problems getting coffee in Bora Bora? Thanks!
