Hi everyone,

We are thinking of going back to Tahiti this year and as usual. This time, we'd like to go back for a little longer (maybe 3-4 weeks) and stay a week at least on different islands. Since it's a longer visit, we'll probably plan to do things on a tighter budget, so I was wondering if the only way to get to Rangiroa from Papeete is by plane or has anyone ever tried taking a boat?
I have read that boats to some of the far off islands are not as reliable. Is that true?
